Barwaqa Relief Organisation is a Charity based organisation with the aims of helping marginalised disadvantaged community through community development. B.R.O seeks to work with communities in response to humanitarian needs and to facilitate the improvement of their livelihoods for improved living standards and quality of life for the vulnerable communities in both rural & urban settlements.

B.R.O seeks to work with communities in response to humanitarian needs and to facilitate the improvement of their livelihoods for improved living standards and quality of life for the vulnerable communities in both rural & urban settlements.
Coverage Areas:
UK: London
Kenya: North Eastern Province; Eastern Province (Upper)
Somalia: Lower and Middle Shabelle regions; Benadir region (Afgoye and Balcad IDP camps); Central regions (Hiran, Galgadud and Mudug regions); Bay region.
Programmes in the UK:
In the UK we currently provide the following services:
Supplementary classes and home work support club for children who are from a background of ethnic minorities and who have recently arrived as refugees to the UK. The class age ranges from 6-18 years of age. The majority of the students that attend these clubs are mainly from the Somali Communities, who are currently underachieving with their education at school within the London Borough of Ealing.
English for Speaker of Other Languages course for adult refugees who need basic English skills to undertake mainstream education
Advice, guidance and orientation services for migrant and refugees newly settled in LB of Ealing.
Special support for elderly from black and ethnic minorities so that they can access mainstream services and their rights and entitlements.
B.R.O has a small football team which plays match within the Ealing Area/ London
Internationally:
Internationally we had set out specific aims named below and have implemented projects in these regions named above.
Specific Objectives internationally:
To support Pastoral/Nomadic children and Families.
To improve educational academic performance.
To offer access to literacy.
To empower women through capacity building workshops.
Provide training and counselling on Nutritional health care, FGM and HIVAIDS pandemics.
Provide feeding centres to vulnerable groups such as old, poor, lactating mothers and children.
To provide relief assistance to the most needy and mobile water services to rural pastoral community during dry seasons.
Provide water service support such as wells, dams, pans etc
Provide support to self help projects and community institutions such as small scale Agricultural Irrigations, Schools and Health Centres.
Implemented Projects:
Barwaqa Relief Organisation has morally participated in community rescue service that has been hindering since its formation i.e. peace reconciliation between the clans in its area of operation.
Barwaqa organisation has provided advice and guidance on the Issue related education, community development and employability
Barwaqa have been providing training to women, youth and children for all age.
The Ngo has implemented a FGM campaign in UK and international.
Advocacy for Human right and important of protecting the environment
Carried out training how to improve locally used Agricultural systems.
